Right, and I did get the IR cut filters from Leica. But there is a native IR 
filter over the M8?s sensor, even if an inadequate one, and my reading 
indicates that as the wavelength increases, its effectiveness improves so 
that it?s reasonably effective for the deeper IR. In fact, one source 
indicated that there?s so little overlap between the low-end tail of the B+W 
093?s passband and the high-end tail of the M8?s that it?s questionable 
whether the 093 would even be useable. But the same article included an 
attractive hand-held M8 image done with the 093, so apparently, at least in 
some situations, there?s enough.
