Lightroom CC seems unchanged to me - I imported some photographs only
yesterday. Maybe they want to keep this as the Pro version, and downgrade
the standalone one to a sort of Lightroom Elements, in order to force users
to migrate to the subscription model. I have always trusted Adobe less than
Nikon or Fuji, with the sort of monopoly power they have in image
processing, which is why I never embraced the DNG "standard". Unfortunately,
I find Photoshop indispensable, so I figured that I might as well use
Lightroom as well, instead of using another RAW processor - one has to be
practical, but, at the same time, be aware of the downsides that come with
monopolies.
Cheers
Jayanand
