Current SOTA in MFDB is 14bits of Dynamic Range.  

It should not be long until we start getting independent tests results about
the S body....

As one who would love to have ANY S kit, I think it is great. Used body
prices should approach a rational level for us cheapskates who would not be
using it for income.
Lenses still need a couple of kidneys unfortunately.

It is impressive to see how technology marches on, and a pleasant surprise
to find Leica leading the pack with the 15 stop DR (not to mention the Q
evf).
