I have been using a Spyder device for calibrating the screen on my Mac. This
Mac is about two years old. The calibration process has been repeated
monthly. There was probably a small change out of the box, but since then,
my monthly calibration process has indicated that there was no incremental
change detectable. The software allows you, after recalibration, to compare
a before and after view of a screenful of pictures. I cannot detect any
change.
