In the six months that I have been without my M9, I have used the X100S quite extensively. I find the OVF wonderful. The one-second display in the OVF of the picture I have just shot tells me whether I actually caught the action I wanted. The camera is absolutely silent. The focal length is my favorite, and I decided on the camera after seeing the quality of shots on the LUG that were taken with one. 2.I have spent hours understanding the menus, to the extent that I have had to recharge batteries because of the usage just playing with menus. The fault I have complained about is reproducible. Uncle Ted?s strong representation was KISS; just don?t bother using macro mode?the shots can stand cropping. I am reluctant to send this camera in to Fuji. The first failure of the camera was in the switch that toggles between O and E finders. I sent it to Fuji via the local camera store. Some low-level technician decided there was nothing wrong with it and just did a reset and returned it. The store had to send it back to Fuji before they got the idea and replaced the switch. I slightly resent your tone implying that I didn?t even bother to understand the camera. Having a Ph.D in physics (experimental), I think I have the competence to understand camera menus.\ Cheere, Herb Herbert Kanner kanner at acm.org 650-326-8204 Question authority and the authorities will question you. > On Jun 12, 2015, at 7:45 PM, Jayanand Govindaraj <jayanand at gmail.com> > wrote: > > Herbert, > Does not happen on my Fuji X100S, nor has it ever happened.
