They are free, and are held in a large park. The conductor today announced that anyone who plays a band instrument is welcome to join and there are no auditions. He admitted that is scary. Their performance is amazingly good, although I must admit it is relatively simple music. Entrances are clean, and they appear to follow dynamic and tempo changes accurately. Family groups come out, and you get to see cute kids and impressive dogs, but alas, no cats.
