Whether it makes a whole lot of difference, when you do not have large prints side by side to compare carefully, is dependent on the individual. I normally shoot in 14 bit on my Nikon D800E, but I change to 12 bit colour when I plan to use continuous mode, as the buffer clears up a lot faster!
