The way I feel about it at this point is that I might as well be using the right materials in the right way because you never know!?! Someone could say "hey you're a photographer will you hang your stuff on my gallery wall? Can I buy one of your prints to hang next to my Salgado print? And then when they find out your board has acid in it they cancel their check. You are not one of the boys! If checks still exist I've not seen my checkbook in awhile. It pays to extend some feelers and make your prints kosher according to Hoyle. I have a long time relationship with Light Impressions they used to send me their catalog which I'd put next to my Calumet catalog and Zone VI catalog. Now they're on the internet. http://www.lightimpressionsdirect.com/ They supply the materials and info to make my prints viable in the open market of serious print collectors who pay hundreds to thousands for a print instead of the standard internet forty bucks. I'd get my rag board from them and my Acid-Free Linen Tape. Sometimes id get their frame kits. There are so many losers on the internet who pretend they're photographers but they give themselves away using cheap tripods and cheap mount board! To me you're the read deal.
