IMO you have to spend ~3x as much on a CD system to sound as good as vinyl, 
my system is fairly interchangeable with input without hearing much 
difference...

been using CD's for years, the head of our local high end Audio store said 
give your vinyl a chance again some time, I was shocked. Set up my old high 
end turntable and played a few remaining vinyl discs, wonderful!  We have 
the idea that the old has been superceeded, little do we know.
