The strangest thing I've seen here was a PETA demonstration some years ago. It was pretty cold, and there was a naked gal (not overweight, however) in the middle of the road with various cuts of meat (don't ask) outlined with magic marker. I prayed that God would drop a camera into my hands, but no go. We don't even have nut cases carrying AK-47's into the Target stores, so maybe Texas is an alternative - it's closer.
