No, I tried Dan's and Mark Nelson's methods but the way I went through is by 
chart throb technique. It's much more intuitive and simpler. And faster. 
If you're interested I can tell where to go to. Let me know. 
By the way, all these methods also work fine for making silver prints too. 
Though I'd rather go with film and enlarger if silver prints is what you 
want.
