On a matte paper the grain should be less noticeable than on a monitor.? 3 big advantages on the M over M9. Skin tones much improved at 640iso and higher which is huge when photographing groups with lights. I can easily shoot at 3200iso and not be bothered by the grain/noise. THE BUFFER! Shoot shoot shoot shoot. Ahhhhhhh. The two times I shot weddings (both for friends) I used high-speed film, so grain is OK. All posed group shots are with the M as well as many others, the sharpness screams out "sweet barking cheese!" The new M is just a badass. I played around with LR 5 and managed to get the noise down with the masking tool. Helps out a lot at 3200 iso on the M and 1250/1600 on the M9P.
