Those kind of places are the best. We have a place like this in Alicante 
too--no menu, just whatever was good at the market that morning.

As for Vin Santo, it is called that because it is used at mass. We bought a 
couple of bottles during our first visit to Tuscany in 1997. We drank one 
shortly thereafter, and did not like it too much. I still have the other 
bottle, probably has turned into Holy Vinegar by now ;-)
