The monastery was built in 1692 and has been destroyed by fire twice - once in 1951 and again in 1998. It was rebuilt using a cable system in 2000. Having ridden horses to get to the look out point we couldn't imagine how the original building materials were carried up the cliff - except by faith and willing strong backs. I have set up a folder of the journey, with explanations for each photo, here: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/BhutanTigerNest/CafeStopw.jpg.html> http://tinyurl.com/l26e342 Starting with this photo please move left and please look large. The photos were all taken with Olympus (EM 5, EM 1) or Fuji equipment (X100s) C&C always welcome. Howard PS: Sorry for the incomplete message sent earlier - my touch pad is too sensitive. PPS: Happy New Year to all - we will start to party in about another 5 hours.
