I'm not refering to the vignetting at all, never have john.

My initial remark was about the darkness of the sky and the grilled  
highlights which to me meant the light conditions were out of the  
range of the sensor - I then thought of a polarizer as they usually  
distort the colour rendition, here that of the sky looks like  
underexposure - perhaps to preserve the highlights? This I DK. The  
whole thing has nothing to do with leica nor noctiluxes but sensor  
range and sensitivity.

Perhaps HDR would have saved the shot???
