Subject: [Leica] Leica Picture Week

Following the protests emanating from Canada about the difficulty of
pronouncing certain esoteric Japanese manufacturers' names, perhaps we, as
members of the Leica Users Group, should consider encouraging the use of
both Leica cameras and lenses together on one week every few months.

We could even have a competition on a topic chosen by somebody like Ted
(preferably Ted himself). Pictures could be submitted on a certain day, and
judgement would be forthcoming after the judge (Ted??) had assessed the
entries. One picture per Lug member, and for those of use who don't have a
digital Leica, we'd get a week to develop and print our rolls before
selecting and submitting our photo.

Now, I realise this suggestion will probably be met with an electronic shrug
of indifference, but it might help us stretch and improve our photography,
and, while doing so (in my case), help us appreciate our film Leicas.

Anybody interested in climbing the wall of ennui using this particular
ladder? If not, why not?
