I loved the audacity of the R8 when it first came out and coveted them.
Loved the R9 even more. Also thought about Contax SLR. But had to stick to
Leica M as my new (1993) system and could not justify two 35mm SLR systems'
already was set up with Nikon. And have never been comfortable with buying
and selling whole camera systems back and forth like it was nothing. I
commit to my gear. And my gear likes me all the better for it.
I had some money when I sold my house I got some Nikon and Hassy glass and
in the case of the Nikon stuff I can use it now on digital bodies.
