[Leica] Leica M (Type 240) Experience

The camera has no idea what lens is mounted.....  If it gives a focus assist
and delay with a 75 Summicron-M, it gives the same focus assist and delay
off a 180 Telyt -R.

The operative word used was.... "adequate"...

Defining the word "Adequate"....   is something that was never fully
explored....

Keep your DMR... or buy the Leitax mounts ( for a C or N) .....and bite the
inevitable bullet.....

I am still wondering about how the Type 240 works with R lenses?  Does the
focus assist really work with R lenses?  Since you can only use the EVF to
focus the R lens does that mean that all of your shots are going to have the
shutter delay?  So far I haven't read any user experience vis a vis the red
headed stepchild R system and before I bail on my DMR I would really like to
know if this is in fact an "R Solution"?
