Thanks, Frank. What I would like to speed up is the acting on commands.
If my computer is doing several things at a time (it is always scanning)
the response to commands in LR and PS can be very slow. Opening and saving
files is pretty fast. I have everything as fast load DNGs. What I had
hoped to do was to put the LR catalog on the SSD drive. It would not be
storage for any files.

I have the enclosure and have hooked the SSD drive up to my laptop. It
uses 2 USB cables for power and also plugs into the eSata port. The blue
light comes on but, so far, the computer has not recognized the drive. I
got a message that the driver for my new hardware was not installed. Don't
know where to go from here.

Thanks for your help!

Tina
