And you can still buy perpetual licences for Photoshop CS6 , Creative Suite
CS6 and Lightroom if you choose. Lightroom is included if you lease the
whole suite btw.
For everyone satisfied with the features of the version they have life will
go on! Sounds like new camera models doesn't it?

For Australian and I would guess UK customers the prices are now identical
for the subscriptions whereas the boxed versions *and the download
versions*cost a LOT more in our countries than the same product sold
in USA for
example and we  were geo-blocked from purchasing from the USA site.
 For this country I just checked prices for the (full version) boxed CS6
master collection and Lightroom 4. A bit more than AUD $4500. Makes $50 a
month sound rather more attractive if I needed several of the applications.
Just Photoshop and Lightroom will suit me fine though.
