Phil,

In reading the comments on your misfortune, it occurred to me that the fact 
that your cell phone was taken might work to your advantage.  The police may 
have tools to let them track and locate the phone, which could lead to the 
burglar.  If you have info on the cell phone, you might discuss this with 
the police.
