It is not a matter of waste to use the profiles.... it is a waste of
valuable resource ( time, support of current M owners, future of next
generation of M buyers) to do the R before the M.

The R solution, presumably, is to support the M Type 240 with R to M
adapter.

As to your question of how much correction doe s the 100 APO need? Probably
none. Which is another reason to support M lenses that need the profile
first....
Including the WATE.

As an R lens user on a Nikon, I don't find them a waste at all. I would
love to give them a try to see what they can do for me. The profiles for my
Nikon lenses improve things quite a bit. Not sure if that will be the case
for R lenses. How much improvement does the 100 APO need anyway?
