rules are rules, go with them or go home.

IMHO photography is a thing and using photographic tools to craft images 
which never were that way is another thing, nothing wrong with any of them, 
they just cannot be drawn in the same basket when you apply to a contest 
which doesn't allow one of them. Will you present a inkjet print over weave 
to a painting contest? to some extent, it is about the same.
