Jay I have to disagree: I think it adds to images at all focal lengths
with good IS systems. I'm sold on the technology despite simply NOT
believing I would need it with wide angles: hell I can hold it steady, but
the truth is there is always a bit of movement and good IS really helps at
almost all shutter speeds.
