Subject: [Leica] FYI: Two new lenses from CZ

That's true Marty, but I wonder, as Mark did, why the lenses will be
Distagons. That's a wideangle lens design, and Zeiss made 50mm Distagons
for Hasselblad and Rollei medium format SLRs. I have a 50mm Distagon with
floating element (the CF-FLE version) for my Hasselblad, and it is a VERY
sharp lens, but it covers 6x6. For 35mm a Planar would be a better design
for a 55mm lens.
