OK, so had a look on screen:

Trust the meter, the ones I gave extra exposure to are too bright despite
not clipping.

As feared, the Noctilux which focusses perfectly on the M9 front focusses on
the MM :(

Here are some shots, not taken for artistic purposes but just to get used to
exposure, highlights, gradation etc. I like the look of them and they are
far more subtle than any conversions I have made from the M9. There are a
few higher ASA shots in there....

I had to collect it from depot before work this morning so not seen many
shots on screen.

Much smoother shutter release than my M9. Seems quieter as well, maybe just
because it is new.

My first shot was L0000001, so not sure what they did for factory
calibration....

Metering seems very cautious and ETTL, with an evenly lit subject I think
you could almost go 1 stop over meter without losing highlights.

I took 4 shots at home to get numbering sorted (using L2*** so as it does
not clash with M9 numbering) all taken with Noctilux at 1250ASA, these are
the only ones I have seen on screen so far.

With the M9 I have never liked my B&W conversions, I found them too
contrasty with few mid-tones. When I scanned in some medium format film
earlier this year it looked "just right", nice gradation and subtle
mid-tones. First impressions are that the MM is in that vein :-)

Next choice was which lens to use first! Either sharpness with 75mm
Summicron or something else, I went with the Noctilux and a 1.8ND instead
(sunny day)

More later when I get home........
