I see it as a logical progression which can be done with taste and beauty.
For me it completes the story, and wedding photography is capturing a story.
I accept that many will not want to be part of the marketplace, but if you
are in that market you will know that the bride and groom want their whole
story to be told, and wedding photography has moved forward a long way
towards that aim. It is not about earning extra money (most quote for a
wedding as a whole, not by the prints they might or might not sell) but
about completing the whole. I started as a wedding photographer in the days
when I was allowed 3 rolls of 120 film (36 prints) and I know what I now do
is a far better product than it has ever been. I have over 1,000 weddings
under my belt and I am very comfortable with where I am now as a
photographer.
