My default in my galleries and in much other stuff I've done is 1200 pixels on the large side. Way smaller than this. I wait till its reduced to its final size before I unsharp mask or go into areas selectively and anti noise. I don't feel bad about 1200px across I think its way bigger than the average stuff you see. But way to small to know anything conclusively about the image and camera and lens. - - from my iRabs.
