It's a rumor, and being an XPan nut that I am - it ain't going to happen.
Even a 1.5 crop of the 2x 35mm of the "full frame" means a sensor size
bigger than most of the medium format back sensor current available. And
there just isn't a market for that :-(

Now if I am working for Instagram, I would be worth 100 millions right now
(yes, sink that in, 100 million dollars). I would have give $5 million to
Fuji and say, "here, give me a digital Xpan."
