Issues with those lenes not working so well with digital was not intended.
They were obviously designed well before digital was in common use; or a
reality with the Leica brand.
The idea here is the 28mm Elmarit ASPH was designed with the sharp only in
center parameters in mind at the get go.
So somebody using it with film would hopefully not notice the difference.
And that of course is not the way Leica has ever done business.
