yes, it seems to be a Guillain-Barre Syndrome subtype, involving chronic 
ongoing synthesis of antibodies.  
Very rare, but my brother in Pennsylvania has this type of syndrome too, is 
very slowly (over years)  recovering.

may I speak with you bharani, offlist, about this? Perhaps you can tell me 
more.
