The Noctilux has a long focus throw and has a quite tight helicoid.
Out of the box the focus does tend to require more force than smaller
Leica lenses, but is similar to the 75 Summilux and large R lenses.
Use loosens this up a bit, so this Nocti sounds like it has been
nicely run in.

Getting the lens calibrated is something I would support.  I would
never use a fast M lens built pre-digital on an M8 or M9 without
getting it focus calibrated first.  Leica developed a new method for
focus calibration post the digital Ms which leaves the lenses more
accurately and reliably calibrated, and the difference shows in use.
I saw the difference first hand with my existing lens set.
