Subject: [Leica] Battery life

I have never run down the battery in my D3 in a day of shooting. Not even in 
Africa where I shot a really lot, where I went two weeks on a single 
battery. I didn't push the D700 so hard there, but the batteries held up 
almost as well. the battery in my M9 doesn't last as long but usually one 
spare in a  day is all required.

Is it really that bad? I typically get hundreds to thousands of shots on my 
D3...
