Nathan,

I agree, but there are few film scanners on the market, the Nikon
Coolscan are discontinued and very high prices. I shall replace my
scanner too and I'm just looking and comparing Epson and Plustek. The
basic Plustek Opticfilm 7400 is really cheap and the technical advice
of a technical person in Plustek was that for B&W and Photoshop work
the choice should be the 7400, the iSRD function is not adviced or
necessary for B&W. The Plustek inconvenient is that you should scan 1
negative at once!.

On the Epson range, I think V700, or even V600 and V500 are very good
scanners.

Any experiences with the Plustek 7400 in the List?

cheers
Lluis
