[Leica] Canon 1D X -- the real marker to the end of the mega-pixel wars?

At this point I am not sure about which will survive.  The D700 (I have had 
it for about a month now) has some nice features, but the noise from the 
body irritates me to no end.  The menus and functions and how to use them is 
also mind numbing.  Image quality, i'm still not convinced.  the R8DMR on 
the other hand is quiet, no mirror bounce noise, menus are simplicity and 
easily used.  Image quality is outstanding as long as i get the focus right, 
here the AF of the D700 is pretty good.  The R8DMR will be with me until it 
dies a massive death, but I can see the day when I use the D700 or its 
replacement, D4?, with my R lenses.  I have one modern AF lens for the D700, 
a 100/2.8G Micro Nikkor, and it is pretty good so far.  I also have 2 old MF 
Nikkors from long ago which I use with it.
