Subject: [Leica] Ft. Wayne: Unemployment isn't working

We don't have one of those stores here. Despite the economic hard times,
there are some very wealthy people here, but most of them are too
tightfisted to spend money on a pan that costs so much that you could save
$100 on it! Most of the truly wealthy here live in little houses in older
neighborhoods, driving crappy cars and dressing in crappy clothes. I'm
serious! I know A NUMBER OF people here worth millions who live like that by
choice because they're simply stingy.

Expensive pans won't sell here, even to the wealthy. Those here who buy such
things are what our rich people refer to as 'nickel millionaires.' Those are
people with middle class incomes who try to make people think they're
wealthy by living above their means. Used to be a fairly large number of
them, but not many of them left now, though!
