You are looking at 8 year old 2003 technology which was discontinued 3 years
ago. Then you're the first guy on your block to get the new operating
system.  So at this point you need a new scanner. I'm betting they've
learned a few things about scanner making in 8 years. Not nikon they've long
given up the field. Probalby Pacific Image, maybe Plustek.
