Admitted they had something going on that they did not understand. ( shades of Intel) If you look at the Forum responses, there are about 20-30 reported failures. So that is about 20-30,000 cameras. About right. 0.1% is really pretty tiny, unless YOU are one of them..... $7K is a lot of money to put out and find that your last shoot is toast.
