I used to be a pilot and flight instructor (amateur, of course) until a) diabetes made dealing with the FAA medical empire too much of a hassle, and b) the cost of flying just skyrocketed (don't know whether pun intended or not). My well-known bad temper might cause a reaction that would put me in jail when dealing with the TSA, so I just won't fly anymore.
