Hi Ted,

I'm not well versed in Canadian history, but, in the Southern U.S., anyone 
who brought his family through the 1930s, when things were very tough for 
many people, had a look of "wear and tear" on his face that was not unusual 
for the times.  He was smart, and kind, but you always knew what direction 
he wished you to take.;~)
