It's the perfect computer for portable use such as taking to class, meetings, or working lunches. The battery can last upwards of eight hours and the computer operates on a flash drive rather than a moving parts hard drive. I'd recommend one of those but they are a bit more costly. Seems to me that it could be a great one for her but you can get more computing power for the money in going with a MacBook.
