I agree about the DoF. To be honest, I'm hoping this will be my backpacking 
kit 
and was trying it out.

Looks like the deeper DoF of the 4/3 helps in the first one,
and I like the format proportions a lot in both;  it gives room for the mind 
to 
wander and discover the surroundings too.
