Lluis shared his time and beautiful city with my wife Holly and me. Barcelona is a photographer's dream. It is full of life, light, darkness, mood, mystery and people; all beautifully condensed so that you cannot possibly go more than 2 meters without being presented with another chance to make a picture. Lluis' work is always spectacular. He has a great eye and good reflexes. He has passion for what he does. And he is way too modest. That is good because the strength of his pictures speak for themselves. I'm flattered to be depicted in the LUG. It is always odd seeing oneself in a photograph; especially when working. Or lighting up a cigar. In defense of the criticism of these photos I would add that they are more anecdotes about my visit than they are Lluis' usual strong photos about life in his city. I was glad to see, though, that I resorted to my usual 1/15th or 1/8th second or slower shutter speed technique of leaning against a wall for steadiness. I do it almost instinctively.
