Who's been scanning a neighbor's slides this week, and rues the invention of
early Eeechtachrome (all of which is a lovely magenta), and mourns
Kodachrome (all of which looks as though it were shot yesterday, save for
the Mary Tyler Moore-era outfits.)

As I was cleaning my M3 between rolls, I remembered this month is the 37th
anniversary of me buying this camera (used, but in mint condition, with 50mm
f/2 collapsible Summicron and MC meter, for $325.00).  It's pretty much been
my constant companion ever since.  Nothing else feels such a part of my hand
and eye.  I wish I knew exactly how many rolls I've exposed with it - I used
to use it on the job too, so many, many of my university pictures went
through that shutter.  

Sure think it was a splendid bargain.
