8 out of 28 were not depressing! Unless of course you're anti-Obama in which 
case the pictures of him being driven in the presidential car while reading 
papers would be depressing. So that's more than 25% and more than the 
average amount of good news stories in any media outlet. That said, I cannot 
say that the quality of the images as stand-alones blew me away. has anybody 
got a favourite in the line up that will stand the test of time?

I'd imagine the Obama one, the bird on the carried coffin, the woman giving 
birth, the balloteer, and the troops on the plane will still work in 20 
years. In 50 years, I'm not sure.
