I consider myself very luck to have been able to combine my loves for
photography, travel, mission work and family and make a living doing it for
over 30 years.  I have certainly changed the message I give when I speak to
high school and college photography classes these days.  I would not advise
anybody to go into photography as a profession today.  Do something else you
love and keep photography as a hobby.
