It could be a typo. But I've done some searching and I found that the Sony 28-75 isprobably just a reworked Minolta 28-75 2.8 D, a pretty well-respected mid-range zoom from the Maxxum era. That lens can be found used for anywhere from $300-400. Might be what I'm looking for. I still have my converted R lenses, including my beloved 400 Telyt and the wonderful 50 Summicron. I don't think I'm ready to plunk down 8 grand for the R lens, even if I'd sure like to play with one if I ever got the chance.
