Just the same advantages any SLR has over any rangefinder - the ability to
use macro and telephoto lenses.  I still have R lenses ranging from the 19
to the 560 that I've been using on Canons with an adapter.  I'd much rather
be using them on a Leica.  The DMR can only be used on the R8 and R9 Leicas.
