"bleared" out Actually the word I made up was "Bleer" and my spell check changed it to Blear and I like the look of that better. Turns out its a real word (darn it!) and I not only didn't make it up but it means exactly what I wanted it to mean. As I just looked it up this very second. What does it mean? " Simple past tense and past participle of blear." Well that explains everything that's why I love internet dictionaries!! So I clicked on blear which took me to: "Of eyes or vision: dim, unclear from water or rheum." Then I clicked on "rheum" as I've never seen nor heard that word before in my life. Means snot. -------------------- Mark William Rabiner Photography mark at rabinergroup.com > From: Geoff Hopkinson <hopsternew at gmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2010 10:45:33 +1000 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Saturday f 9 April flowers > > Mark some members may not understand acronyms, jargon and creative > language. > Careful lest the acronym police take you to task ;-) > > feeling bleared out here reading terms like 18.0-55.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 pre VR > > > irreverently yours > Geoff > http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman > > NO ARCHIVE > > > On 19 September 2010 10:23, Mark Rabiner <mark at rabinergroup.com> wrote: > >> Flowers Central Park April with sidewalk and street pavers. >> >> http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/100410_184455.jpg.html >> Taken with a kit lens.
