I must vent about this.

First, trivial bitch: 8 x 10 is a standard paper size, as you all
know. So why is Epson's photo paper 8 1/2 x 11, preventing me from
storing prints in empty 8 x 10 boxes, of which I have many?

Second, non trivial: When I considered going digital, and before
investing in gold-plated equipment, I bought a CoolPix and a copy of
Lightroom 2. A month of playing around with it, and I took the plunge
and bought an M9 to replace my M6 TTL. Now Adobe has released
Lightroom 3. I looked at its specs and decided it might just be worth
the update price; also discovered that there was a 30-day free trial.
So, I downloaded it, only to discover that the operating system on my
Mac was one version too old. I have 10.4, it requires 10.5, and
today's version is 10.6.

Well, Adobe. Can you tell me what new application interface showed up
in 10.5 that was so useful to you that you were willing to make a
slightly older OS version obsolete?
